About the role
Naphtali builds client-facing intake experiences and an internal Hub for people, jobs, inquiries, and published content. We are hiring a Software Engineer to develop and maintain the applications that power naphtali.com, staff workflows, and Core API integrations. What you'll do: - Build and refine features across our Nuxt intake site, Hub admin, and supporting API routes - Implement job listings, inquiry flows, authentication, and content publishing integrations - Write clear TypeScript, participate in code review, and ship incrementally with staff oversight - Debug production issues, improve reliability, and document technical decisions - Collaborate with Cybersecurity on secure defaults and with Data Analytics on structured event data - Maintain Postgres-backed schemas and migrations in step with product needs
Requirements
Must have: - OPT or STEM OPT authorization to work in the United States - Strong foundation in computer science or software engineering (degree, bootcamp, or equivalent project portfolio) - Production-oriented experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and at least one modern web framework - Comfort with Git, REST APIs, and collaborative review workflows Nice to have: - Experience with Nuxt, Next.js, Vue, or React in full-stack or product engineering roles - Familiarity with Postgres, Drizzle or similar ORMs, and deployment on Vercel or comparable platforms - Interest in immigration services, professional consulting, or mission-driven operational software
