About the role
Naphtali Consulting & Research supports employment-based immigration clients through careful research, intake operations, and secure digital systems. We are looking for a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to help protect our client-facing platforms, internal Hub tools, and integration endpoints. What you'll do: - Monitor alerts and logs across cloud-hosted applications, intake forms, and internal admin systems - Triage security events, document findings, and escalate incidents according to staff runbooks - Support access reviews, MFA adoption, and least-privilege account hygiene - Assist with vulnerability tracking, patch coordination, and control documentation for a compliance-aware team - Partner with Computer Science on secure deployment practices and with leadership on risk summaries - Maintain clear written records suitable for audit and internal review
Requirements
Must have: - Current OPT or STEM OPT work authorization in the United States - Coursework, certification progress, or internship experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or a related field - Familiarity with identity and access concepts (MFA, role-based access, logging) - Ability to follow runbooks, prioritize alerts, and communicate clearly in writing Nice to have: - Exposure to cloud platforms (Neon, Vercel, object storage) or SIEM tooling - Interest in professional services, immigration technology, or regulated client data environments - Experience with incident response exercises or security club/project work
